Mr. Timothy Campbell

Timothy Campbell Mr. Tim Campbell, Compass President, joined Compass in 2008 from Northwest Airlines, where he was serving as VP of Regional Airline Operations. Mr. Campbell joined Northwest Airlines in 1995 as a financial analyst, holding a variety of operations positions before being named Northwest VP of Flight Operations/System Operations Control (SOC) in 2003. Prior to joining Northwest Airlines, Mr. Campbell worked in the Aerodynamics Engineering department of the Boeing Company in Seattle. He holds a BS degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Seattle University. He serves actively on the Board of Directors of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit organization.

Mr. William R. Lange

William R. Lange Mr. William Lange, VP Safety and Compliance and Chief Safety Officer, has 40 years of experience in airline planning, operations and safety. Before joining Compass to lead the ATOS certification effort, he held a number of senior management positions at Independence Air/Atlantic Coast Airlines, including SVP of Safety and Security, SVP of Operations Resources, SVP of Maintenance and Operations, and SVP of Technical Operations. Earlier, he served in senior operating management positions with World Airways, Jetstream Aircraft, British Aerospace Holdings, Pan Am Express, and Pan American World Airways. He holds BS, MS and EAA degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT.

Mr. Robert Coulter

Robert Coulter Mr. Coulter, VP of Operations, is an Airline Transport Pilot with over 42 years of aviation experience. Before joining Compass, Mr. Coulter held various positions with Independence Air/Atlantic Coast Airlines, including Senior Director of Operations (1999-2006), System Chief Pilot (1996-1999), Regional Flight Manager (1995-1996) and Captain (1993-1995). Prior to this, he was employed as a Captain and Chief Pilot by Air Wisconsin (1989-1993). Mr. Coulter served in the United States Air Force for 22 years, where he retired as a Command Pilot, Master Jumper and Full Colonel and held a number of senior level special operations aviation-related positions.

Mr. Brian Randow

Brian Randow Mr. Brian Randow, Director of System Operation Control and Crew Resources joined Compass in 2009 from Northwest Airlines where he was serving as Director of Training Resource Management and Customer Service. In this position he had responsibility for Pilot Training Scheduling and Training Center Customer Support. Prior to joining Northwest Airlines, Mr. Randow worked for Mesaba Airlines from 1996 to 2007 holding positions including Director of Flight Operations Training and Administration, Director of Labor Relations, Director SOC and Crew Resources and various other leadership position in Crew Resources. Mr. Randow attended Metropolitan State University where he received a BA in Aviation Management in 1996.

Mr. Drew Bedson

Jose Cordova Mr. Drew Bedson is an Airline Transport Pilot with over 10,000 hours of Part 121 flight experience. He joined Compass as System Chief Pilot in September 2009. His responsibilities include oversight of line flying operations, team membership on the Compass pilot agreement negotiating team, and pilot recruiting. Before joining Compass, he held a number of senior leadership positions with Ransom Airlines, Pan Am Express, Trans World Express, British Aerospace/ Aero International (regional), Atlantic Southeast Airlines and Sentient Flight Group. Mr. Bedson received his BS degree in Technical Services in Aviation from the Thomas A. Edison State College, and has completed graduate studies in management at Trenton State College.

Mr. Jose Cordova

Jose Cordova Mr. Jose Cordova, Compass Director of Quality and Chief Inspector, previously served as Independence Air's Director of Quality Assurance/Quality Control and Chief Inspector. Prior to joining Independence Air, he served at American Airlines as Quality Assurance Supervisor, at BEE and GEE Manufacturing, Inc. as Production Control Supervisor and at Aircraft Repair and Overhaul Service as a Mechanic and Inspector. Mr. Cordova also served in the U.S. Army and in the California Army National Guard. Mr. Cordova earned a BS degree in Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering from Parks College of St. Louis University, and an AS degree in Aircraft Maintenance and his A&P certification from the Spartan School of Aeronautics. He presently is in an Executive MBA program at Syracuse University.

Mr. John Coffield

Nancee Franklin Mr. John Coffield is responsible, as Director of Customer Service, Security and facilities, for all Compass airport operations activities, providing oversight of contract vendors, security functions and facilities everywhere that Compass operates. John has been in the airline industry for 48 years. Before joining Compass in November 2007, he held various supervisor and management positions at US Airways in Hub Operations with (1961-1998) in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. During the period of time from 1998 to 2006, John was the Hub Director for Atlantic Coast Airlines/Independence at the IAD and ORD hubs. During the 2006/2007 time frame, he was the General Manager for Worldwide Flight Services managing the NWA contract in Pittsburgh, Pa. Mr. Coffield is also a Vietnam Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during 1965 to 1966.

Mr. Randy Hamilton

Randy Hamilton Mr. Randy Hamilton, Director of Training and Standards, is an Airline Transport Pilot with over 10,000 hours of flight time and 32 years of aviation experience. Before joining Compass Airlines, Mr. Hamilton held various positions at Independence Air/Atlantic Coast Airlines, including Director of Training and Standards (2006-2005), Director of Training (2005-1999), Manager of Training (1999-1997), Instructor/Check Airman (1997-1996) and Line Pilot (1996-1995). Mr. Hamilton served as a Naval Aviator for 21 years, holding a number of senior level aviation-related positions. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in History and Political Science from Central Missouri State University.

Mr. Robert Truax

Robert Truax Mr. Rob Truax, Compass Director of Maintenance, joined Compass in 2008 from Champion Airlines, where he held the position of VP of Technical Operations and Part 119 Director of Maintenance. In that position, he was responsible for all aspects of Technical Operations including: QC, QA, Aircraft Records, Maintenance Programs, Technical Publications, Engineering, Reliability, Materials, Planning, Maintenance Training, Line and Heavy Check Maintenance and Engine Overhaul. Mr. Truax received a BA in Aviation Management in 2002 from Metropolitan State University and holds A&P and R&E licenses, as well as an FAA private pilot license.

Mr. Steve Sargent

Steve Sargent Mr. Steve Sargent, Assistant Director of Operations, is an Airline Transport Pilot with over 5,000 hours of total flight time. Mr. Sargent joined Compass in April 2006 as Fleet Manager, in which position he was responsible for establishing operating procedures and standards, initially for the first Compass CL-65 aircraft and later for the E-175. Before taking his current position, Mr. Sargent also served for a period as Compass Part 119 Chief Pilot. Prior to joining Compass, he held various positions at Independence Air/Atlantic Coast Airlines, including Fleet Manager, Director of Fleet Standards, System Chief Pilot, Instructor/Check Airmen and First Officer. Mr. Sargent received an AS degree in Criminal Justice from Northern Kentucky University and an AB degree in Politics, Economics, Rhetoric and Law from the University of Chicago.
