The following individuals serve as Compass's
key management and technical Personnel:
Mr. Brian Randow, Chief Operating Officer of Compass Airline joined Compass in 2009 from Northwest Airlines where he was serving as Director of Training Resource Management and Customer Service. In this position he had responsibility for Pilot Training Scheduling and Training Center Customer Support. Prior to joining Northwest Airlines, Mr. Randow worked for Mesaba Airlines from 1996 to 2007 holding positions including Director of Flight Operations Training and Administration, Director of Labor Relations, Director SOC and Crew Resources and various other leadership position in Crew Resources. Mr. Randow attended Metropolitan State University where he received a BA in Aviation Management in 1996.
Mr. James M. White
Mr. James M. White served in U.S. Army (1975-78). Began career in airline industry after being Honorably Discharged from U.S. Army in 1978. Flying career started with Southeastern Airlines operating DH-104, GF-24, & EMB-110, moved to Atlantic Southeast Airlines (after they purchased Southeastern) and operated the EMB-110 & DHC-7. Moved to Resort Air (now Trans States Airlines) February 1988 and operated ATR-42/72, BAE-ATP, & EMB-145. Moved to Compass Airline as Director of Operations in June 2011. During my airline career I have held the position of First Officer, Captain, Instructor (ground & flight), Check Airman, APD, Director of Training, Flight Manager, Chief Pilot, Director of Operations & Director of Safety & Regulatory Affairs. Currently hold an ATP license with multiple type ratings, Commercial license – Single-Engine fixed wing & Rotorcraft, Certified Flight Instructor - Instruments, Multi-Engine and to date have accumulated approx. 17000 flight hours.
Mr. Joseph Restifo
Mr. Joe Restifo was named Director of Safety and Security in May of 2013. He has more than 20 years of aviation management experience.Prior to assuming his current role, he was vice president of Operations for Pinnacle Airlines, Inc. and Mesaba Airlines, where he was responsible for the integration of new jet aircraft into the Mesaba fleet and for development of computer-based integrated pilot training. He began his airline career in 1990 as a pilot and flew until 1999. He was named chief pilot in 1996 and director of Flight Operations in 1999. Restifo earned a bachelor's degree in aviation technology and aviation management from Bowling Green State University.
Mr. George Cline
Mr. George Cline, Director of Quality & Part 119 Chief Inspector, brings over 23 years of aircraft maintenance and quality experience with more than 15 of these years in a management capacity. Prior to joining Compass in May 2007, he held various management positions in areas to include (Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Maintenance Base Manager, and Heavy Maintenance); He earned an A&P license from Frederick Community College (Aviation Maintenance Technology).
Mr. Cline also presently serves as Master Sergeant in the Air National Guard, and has served in the U.S. Air Force for a combined total of over 22 years; during these years Mr. Cline supported several operations to include Desert Shield, Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom.
Mr. Bo Curtis
Mr. Shane (Bo) Curtis, Director of Maintenance, joined Compass in 2007 as the Technical Operations Manager, MSP from Pinnacle Airlines, where he held the position of Maintenance Base Manager, MSP. In his previous positions, he was responsible for all areas of Tech Ops Maintenance, including aircraft, GSE, facilities, and Materials in MSP. Bo earned his A&P in 1996 and worked his way through the ranks of the maintenance department, from entry level A&P Mechanic to Director of Maintenance.
Bo is also active in his community. For the past 5 years, he has been a volunteer baseball coach for his community Parks & Recreation League and area Sports Boosters programs and for the past 4 years, he has also been a volunteer football coach for his area Sports Boosters program.
Mr. John Coffield
Mr. John Coffield is responsible, as General Manager of Customer Service, Security & Facilities, for all Compass airport operations activities, providing oversight of contract vendors, security functions and facilities everywhere that Compass operates. John has been in the airline industry for 48 years. Before joining Compass in November 2007, he held various supervisor and management positions at US Airways in Hub Operations with (1961-1998) in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. During the period of time from 1998 to 2006, John was the Hub Director for Atlantic Coast Airlines/Independence at the IAD and ORD hubs. During the 2006/2007 time frame, he was the General Manager for Worldwide Flight Services managing the NWA contract in Pittsburgh, Pa. Mr. Coffield is also a Vietnam Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during 1965 to 1966.
Mr. Todd Naugle
Mr. Todd Naugle serves as Compass Airlines' Chief Pilot. Todd is an Airline Transport Pilot with over 8,500 hours of flight time with 22 years of aviation experience. Todd was hired as an First Officer in May 2009 and in April 2010 he joined the Compass Flight Operation Department as the MSP Domicile Chief Pilot and became the System Chief Pilot May 2011. Prior to coming to work for Compass in May 2009 Todd had an twelve year career with Champion Air. At Champion he began as a 727 Flight Engineer, Todd worked his way up to Captain, Simulator Instructor, Line Check Airman, Assistant Chief Pilot and becoming the System Chief Pilot. Todd began his career as a corporate pilot and holds 6 Type Ratings. Todd also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Studies from the University of North Dakota.Top
Mrs. Peggy Groebe
Mrs. Peggy Groebe, Director of Inflight Services, joined Compass in July of 2014. Peggy joins our team with more than 20 years of regional airline experience including 10 years of senior leadership experience as Director of Human Resources at Mesaba Airlines where she was responsible for high volume recruiting, labor relations, compliance, corporate communications, contract negotiation and administration, and leave management. Her experience specializes in attracting, hiring and retaining employees as well as managing diverse work groups in airline and manufacturing environments. Peggy received her bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of St. Thomas.
